Terms of Use
Last updated: October 9, 2026
These terms are the rules for using Pulse. By creating an account or using Pulse you agree to them.
Who can use Pulse
- You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
- Give true information when you sign up, keep your password private, and don't let anyone else use your account. You're responsible for what happens in it.
Be respectful — what's not allowed
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or encouraging violence or self-harm.
- Hate speech or attacks on people for who they are (for example race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability).
- Nudity, sexual content, or sexual messages to people who didn't ask for them.
- Any content that sexualises or endangers minors. We have zero tolerance for this — see our Child Safety Standards.
- Sharing someone else's private information or location, stalking, or using Pulse to track people without their consent.
- Impersonating someone, fake accounts, spam, scams, or selling things.
- Anything illegal, including drugs, weapons and content you don't have the rights to share.
- Trying to break, overload, scrape or get around the security of Pulse.
Your content
- You own what you post. You give Pulse a non-exclusive, free licence to store, show and send it to the people you share it with, only to run the app.
- Only post things you have the right to share. Songs are shown by title, artist and cover picture; playing music stays in your own music app.
Safety, reports and enforcement
- You can block anyone and report people, messages, stories, comments and pins from inside the app.
- We review reports and may remove content, limit features, or suspend or delete accounts that break these terms — without notice when needed to protect others. Where required, we report illegal content to the authorities.
- If you meet someone you found on Pulse, meet in a public place and tell a friend. You're responsible for your own interactions with other people.
Location and music
- Location sharing is under your control (discoverable on/off, everyone or friends only, precise or approximate). Don't share your location if you don't want others to see where you are.
- Pulse works with third-party services such as Spotify; their own terms apply to how you use them.
The app itself
- Pulse is provided "as is". We work to keep it running and safe but can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that people are who they say they are.
- To the extent the law allows, Pulse is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for what other users do.
- We may change, pause or stop features. If we change these terms we'll update the date and, for important changes, tell you in the app; continuing to use Pulse means you accept them.
Ending your use
You can stop using Pulse and delete your account at any time (Settings → Account → Delete account).
